| The cool thing about streetsurfing is that windsurfing tricks, eg. Heli Tack, Reverse Monkey-Jibe, Duck-Jibe, 360° Clew First, Duck Tack, Push Tack .. are so easy to do or to learn on asphalt. Tricks which pro- bably never will do the average windsurfer well on water in his whole surferlife can be checked fast on the street. |
Reverse Stance |
| That is simply caused by the fact that the skateboard is easier to balance and to control as a surfboard .. and the power moves already work in light winds and lower speeds |
| slamin' and kickin' ... |
| New Cool Moves Besides classic windsurf elements streetsurfers also use kick techniques of the skateboarding The combination of both has created a lot of new tricks eg. Slam 360° Flip, Backwind Spin 360° .. Also the complicated windsurf freestyle of the new school - Willy Skipper, Volcan, Spock .. can be simulated on a windskater without any problems |

Asphalted tubes Suitable waves for surfing are not only existing on the water!! Asphalted dams, half- and quaterpipes in the funparks and (as you can see on the pics) protecting walls of the port promenades are ideal to train the "dry cut-back" |

One-Handed |
Jumping, Big Airs It's possible with foot straps, but it's better for you not to imitate this! Our young eagle also did some table tops, but after his first attempt of a "land loop" he had to stay 2 weeks in hospital because of a back injury!!! |

Streetsurfing is a good altenative to windsurfing 'cause you don't have to spend so much money (we advice only second-hand equipment) it can bring the "necessary" fun even in colder seasons without freezing to death or if there is no bloody water near you .. and who hasn't got an asphalted parking lot around the corner? |

| Inline-Surfing Also with Inline-Skates you can do Windskating. (see picture above) Therefore special sails (Skatewing) are used which are pressed by a small stick on the inline-shoe. [videoclips] |

Inline-Kiting |
Now we start taking about the Kite: The newest form to use the wind as a engine !! Doing Inline-Kiting you usually use handles (in contrast to the trapez bar on the picture). Therefore you get an optimal handling as one doesn't stand with the chest to the kite but in direction of the traffic. More information about the kite choice |
| take a kite and fly away .. |
| Kiteskating Certainly you can let you pull on the skateboard by a kite. This dry variant of kitesurfing gives you high speed. There are no limits for taking off. More information about Kiteskating Find your personal style of streetsurfing !! [videoclips] |

Kiteskating |
Power directly from the sky If you can't find good concrete areas check out the "Cross-Country" variant. Just use a Mountain- oder Grassboard. The power of your kite you can use everywhere .. Find your personal style of streetsurfing !! |

Grasskiting Stylish way of riding A free meadow you can find everywhere e.g. a soccer ground. But the cool thing is that with an grassboard (originally designed for snowboarding in summer) stylish kiting is also possible in the high uncut grass or in the damp meadow. |
| Freestyle .. and even jumping becomes more easy, as you are upholstered quite well at the landing. So it doesn't hurt so much, if your kite is overpowered .. More information about grassboards [ www.grassboard.com ] |

| ... and what doing if there is no wind ? |
| Cable-Scooting: What else ? Carving behind a car To maximize fun use a long flexible rope (take it double): The tension energy let you fly over the asphalt like a bumerang!! Ideal protective equipment: Motobike clothes + helmet |
Cable-Scooting |
Big Turn |
360° - no problem You can even do tricks: If you use the energy of your rope in the right way, you can do a 360° behind the car. You only need 15 mph on the car speedometer for going off. If you do more your knees become spongy .. bets? [videoclips] |

Speed in glittering lights |
Windskating on Ice Real sucking Icesurfing is well known for getting high speeds (60 mph and more !!) as there is a very low friction on the ice. Therefore it's easy to pump up your adrenalin. The risk of injures is quite low because of wearing thick winter clothes and a helmet. The dangers are rather breaking through a too thin ice sheet :-) |
| Freestyle On the smooth ice surface you usually getting often spin-outs doing jibes or tacks. But you can also do radical freestyle moves eg. Duck Tack, 360° Clew First .. if you use short, bevel-installed skates ( called "Icewinder") that cut deep in the ice like normal skates while doing curves. [Icesurf videoclips] |
Radical 360° |
| ... but we can top that !! |
Carry sail on the back |
Skate sailing A particularly radical variant of icesurfing. Therefore you use long and tough ice skates like the ones of a ice fastrunner. At strong gusts due to the low mass and the extremely low gliding resistance unbelievable accelerations can be obtained which probable are unchallenged in the whole surfing world. |
| But the most crazy still coming up: The sail is carried all the time backside in the backwinds that means on the back on the wind turned away side. Everyone can image that you need a lot of experience and sensitivity not to be simply pushed away at strong gusts!! For jibing the sail is pushed over the head. [Speed movies] |

| ... ride & surf the powder ... |
| Snowsurfing The white freedom The company ITW France developed the snowfunboard that is a construction of two skies attached to a board. It's works fine in stronger winds or using a large sail (7mē) even in deep powder. It's possible to do race-jibes and duck-jibes like on the water. |
Powdersurfing |
Snowsurfing |
no limits .. It's also possible to ride frozen or tightly stepped snow on a rollsurfer which huge wheels and rough tire tread. It's fun controlling the spin-outs by doing radical jibes. [videoclips] |
| ... and what about kites in the winter ? |
| Snowkiting - that sucks Rip the powder It's really easy to do it on good snow (temperatures below zero !!) and it's quite similar to the kitesurf feeling on water. There is only one thing: As your legs are fixed to the snowboard it's useful to have a good de-power system at your kite. |
Kite-Snowboarding |
Kite-Skiing |
going for speed trips .. Using skies you can reach very high speeds 'caus it's easier to convert the cross forces of the kite as you have two parallel attachments to the ground. Both ways of snowkiting enable high jumps (and hopefully soft powder landings) [videoclips] |
